Virtual Petindex (VPI) is the pet industry’s leading international trade show. It is organised by the Pet Industry Federation, the UK’s largest and most prestigious trade association for pet businesses.

VPI will allow you to get the best from attending a traditional trade show with an international audience; including sourcing new products, talking directly to suppliers, obtaining discounts and fantastic learning opportunities, while doing so remotely from your place of work.

Virtual Petindex opens on 27 February 2022 and will be accessible 24/7 until the 8 March.  VPI will also feature two live days on the 27 & 28 February where exhibitors will be online to speak to using the platform’s chat features.

What’s new for 2022?

  • Product Discovery Zone – Discover the newest and best-selling pet products from around the world in the new Product Discovery Zone. Products will be displayed in categories, so they are easy to discover.
  • Show specials – Special deals on products that are only available for VPI attendees.
  • Curated show bag – Access your show bag once you sign in to VPI, including offers and discounts from selected suppliers and a copy of your digital show guide that you can email to yourself at any time.
  • Dedicated networking sessions – Just because you are online, does not mean you should miss out on those spontaneous encounters that happen at in-person trade shows. Leave space in your schedule for networking on the two live days (27 & 28 February) Join a chat room, introduce yourself to an exhibitor/speaker or even start your own chat room to start a discussion.
  • Private rooms for group meetings – Create and label private chat rooms and invite others or share private access links. Interact through text, audio, or group video calling.
  • New chat widget – Visitors and exhibitors can now enable the chat features and the event within the same tab. Chat can be expanded or minimised at any time.
  • Live sessions – Visit a stand to find out when a representative will be hosting a live session from their stand.
  • Priority access from 24 February – Take this early opportunity to begin scheduling trade show meetings with our exhibitors and access the Product Discovery Zone.

Virtual Petindex will open at 10.00 on Sunday 27 February 2022 and registered visitors will have full access until the show closes on 8 March 2022. VPI will also feature two ‘live’ days on 27 and 28 February, where visitors will be able to network and engage with exhibitors, speakers, and other visitors who are online.
Much like a live exhibition, Virtual Petindex is designed to allow show visitors to learn about the latest developments within the pet industry and to talk to potential suppliers and customers. Having registered for the show, you will have the freedom to attend webinars, navigate the exhibition hall and visit all the exhibition stands. You can browse the show floor using the interactive floorplan or by using the exhibitor search tool.
Yes, you will need to register for this online event. Simply follow the link at the top of the page and submit your information. Then you will receive an email confirming your registration for the event.

The whole platform is intuitive to use, meaning trade visitors and industry professionals will find it easy to find their way around and start interacting. Plus, the whole platform works without any downloads or plug-ins and will display on any device (mobile, tablet or desktop).
No. Some exhibitors may have the ability to request a video chat, but a webcam is not required to participate.
Your login details will be emailed to you ahead of the event. You can use these details to access the online event.
Virtual Petindex is an online event. You do not have to travel to any specific location. You can participate anywhere that you have internet access. The event is accessible from desktop, mobile and tablet devices.
If you operate as a pet business, you should register for Virtual Petindex. This event is geared towards helping pet businesses succeed. You can attend as a retailer and find new and exciting products, as well as learn from the various webinar streams happening on both days; or you could attend as a dog walker who could recommend products to their clients in the future; or you could attend as a dog groomer who can both use and sell products to their clients; or as a kennel or cattery that is looking for supply and new products that will fit in with the new legislation on enrichment toys. Yes. Like any physical event, Virtual Petindex will have a visitor bag for you. You can add show offers, PowerPoint presentations and exhibitor brochures to your virtual bag and then email them to yourself or share with other people in your business.
All webinar content and access to the exhibitor stands will be available on demand for 14 days after the event. You just will not be able to join in on any live Q&A but will still be able to view the content.
